Cancellation and refund rules depend on the salon you book with. Here is how they work.

Cancellation Policy

Every salon on Rixa sets their own cancellation rules. That means the free window, the late cancellation penalty, and the no-show penalty can be different from one salon to the next. You can always see the exact policy on your booking before you confirm, so there are no surprises.

Free Cancellation

If you cancel within the free cancellation window, you receive a full refund with no penalty. The window is usually around 24 hours before your appointment, but the salon decides the exact length. Check your booking details to see the free window that applies to you.

Late Cancellation

If you cancel after the free window has passed, a late cancellation penalty applies. The amount is a percentage of the service price and is set by the salon. Your booking confirmation shows the exact penalty so you know what to expect.

No-Show Penalty

If you miss your appointment without cancelling, a no-show penalty applies. This is separate from the late cancellation penalty and is often higher, since the salon held the slot and the staff time for you. The exact amount is set by the salon and is shown on your booking.

Per-Service Policies

Some services may have stricter rules than the salon's standard policy. Bridal makeup, full-day packages, and other time-intensive services often carry their own cancellation terms. When a service has its own policy, you will see it on the service page and on the booking before you pay.

Provider Cancellations

If a salon cancels your booking, you receive a full refund of what you paid. On top of that, you also receive a compensation credit to your Rixa wallet as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience. The salon pays a penalty to Rixa for cancelling on you, not the other way around.

If a salon does not respond to your booking request within 60 minutes, the booking is automatically cancelled and you receive a full refund.

How Refunds Work

Refunds to your Rixa wallet are instant. Refunds to your original payment method take 10 to 45 business days depending on your bank. If you paid by card, the refund goes back to the same card. Compensation credits from a salon cancellation always go to your wallet.

Disputes

If you believe a penalty was applied unfairly, or you are not sure why you were charged, contact Rixa support from inside the app. Share your booking reference and a short note about what happened. The support team will review the booking, the policy that was active when you booked, and the salon's records before getting back to you.
